Now more than ever, it’s important for children and young people to keep active! As we are spending more time at home, and without the school structure and curriculum, it can be a challenge to know whether our children and young people are moving enough.


Wesport have launched their new Weekly Activity Schedule to support parents and carers to help children and young people maintain the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity a day. (CMO Guidelines) The Weekly Schedule will be updated each week on a Friday afternoon with new resources for families to try the following week. It will include a mixture of PE-focused activities, Active Learning, Active Breaks and fitness sessions. It will feature a mixture of local and national resources, as well as live and pre-recorded sessions.

Wesport have also launched #ActivityBingo: a fun resource for families, encouraging all to add healthy habits into their routines, improving overall health and wellbeing in the process. This has been adapted to be appropriate to the current situation. There is a prize draw for those who complete the grid before the end of term!
