1. Postnatal Fitness class – Safe, effective exercise class to gently strengthen the recovering postnatal body. Babies can come into class or there is a creche. We do a combination of strength work (using light weights) and Pilates based exercises to work the core and pelvic floor and bring any separated tummy muscles back together. I always check everyone’s tummy for disastasis recti and can offer advice on exercises to do at home. Must be 6 weeks postnatal or 10 weeks c section
2. Dedicated Postnatal Pilates that is suitable for the early postnatal period (from 6 weeks or 10 weeks c section) Focus is on the core and pelvic floor, strength and flexibility and working on posture and alignment. Perfect to help alleviate all those aches and pains after pregnancy and labour and the stresses and strains of having a newborn!
3. Pregnancy Pilates focuses on balance, strength and coordination. The exercises are focused on the abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles, which are very important when it comes to childbirth. Pregnancy Pilates works on keeping the muscles throughout the body – upper body, lower body and abdominal area – strong, toned and connected to the core so as to reduce pregnancy aches and pains and help speed up postnatal recovery
4. Fusion Fitness; a unique combination of high intensity calorie burning Circuit Training and Pilates.
45-minutes of high intensity Circuit training followed by 45-minutes of Pilates. Fusion Fitness is aimed at women only and suitable for postnatal women – although due to the high intensity nature of the circuits we recommend that mothers be at least 6-months postnatal.
(all exercises can be adapted to low impacted and we work around individuals fitness levels)All fitness levels are welcome so please don’t be put off if you haven’t exercised in a while. Classes are limited to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure everyone receives expert attention and coaching.
