Are you free on Friday? Would you like to help us celebrate the launch of Fit Got Real: Bristol mums get active, stay active photographic exhibition, at the Sanctuary Gallery, Brunel Building, Southmead Hospital on Friday 8 March 11am -12pm. Please note we will be there with the Bristol Girls Can photo booth until 2pm.

Being active has a positive effect on our physical health and mental wellbeing. For many mums however, it’s difficult to make exercise a priority and put their needs first.

Fit Got Real features mums who have found ways to fit activity into their daily lives, while getting their children involved too! Whether cycling the school run, taking a brisk stroll in the park with the pram, or squeezing in a home workout with the kids, this exhibition shows that women from across Bristol are doing exercise their way.

Fit Got Real continues until 30 April, before going on display at Southmead Hospital’s maternity wards. The photographs will also go on display at St Michael’s Hospital and South Bristol Hospital , from 8 March .

The project has been developed in partnership with Bristol Girls Can, Bristol City Council and Fresh Arts, the arts programme managed by North Bristol NHS Trustand #UHBristolArts, the arts and culture programme at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, funded by Above & Beyond Charity

Bristol Girls Can is part of Sport England‘s This Girl Can campaign, and aims to inspire more women to get active in the city.
