The early bird offer for Bristol’s all star national conference has now been extended. You now have until the end of Friday 3 November to make the most of the offer on tickets and take part in the debate about the benefits sports and physical activity can offer modern cities and organisations.
Hosted by Marvin Rees, Mayor of Bristol as part of the city’s year as European City of Sport, the event will feature international sporting heroes who will be giving talks on their projects and their own journey through sport. Already confirmed to speak are:
- James Cracknell OBE, double Olympic Gold Medallist
- Pat Lam, Bristol Rugby’s head coach
- Chrissie Wellington, three time ironman world champion and Global Head of Health and Wellbeing for parkrun
The full day national conference, which will take place at the Brightside Cricket Ground on Wednesday 6 December, will also feature a range of talks and interactive workshops from local and national organisations discussing the importance of investing in physical activity, sport’s benefits for public health, how cities can attract larger sporting events and how national sporting bodies are changing the way they work.
