On Saturday 15th September, British Blind Sport delivered a ‘Have a Go Day’ at St Paul’s Community Sports Academy in partnership with Vision West of England and Wesport. The day brought just under 30 visually impaired participants and their family from the South West area to try out a range of sports available to them. Sports were delivered by Bristol VI Runners, Bristol City Community Trust and Gloucestershire FA, Goalball UK, University of Bristol Tennis and the Tennis Foundation, Vision West of England and Ability Sports Club.
The day was hailed a big success, with feedback showing 100% of participants had enjoyed the day and would come back again next year. If you have a visual impairment and would like to find out what sports are available to you in your area, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website: britishblindsport.org.uk
