Sport and physical activity can improve the health, well-being and quality of life of a person with a disability.
Physically it improves blood circulation, strengthens muscles, improves balance and co-ordination, whilst providing psychological benefits like good self-esteem, confidence and a belief in skills and abilities.
It can also help to reduce anxiety and stress, but most importantly it can be fun and a good social opportunity.
